Focus and Scope

JATI UNIK aims to publish scientific articles aimed to achieve state-of-the-art theory and application related to industrial and operations management. JATI UNIK is published twice a year (April and October online and printed versions), following an open access policy. Online publication allows to reduce publishing costs and to make more agile the process of reviewing and edition. JATI UNIK defends that open access publishing fosters scientific knowledge, making it available to everyone.

Peer Review Process

Article Review Process:

The publication of articles in  JATI UNIK depends on the scientific validity that has been reviewed by the editor and/or our team. The assessment is prioritized on articles that can be understood and useful in industrial engineering and management. JATI UNIK team acknowledges the efforts and suggestions made by reviewers.

Review Policy:

A reviewer will review every article submitted to JATI UNIK. The process is carried out by considering objectivity, scientific impact, methods used, conclusions, and references.


Publication Frequency

For the schedule of publishing articles on JATI UNIK twice a year, every April and October


Open Access Policy

Open Access Policy

JATI UNIK provides open access to article content in published journals to support broad knowledge exchange. The benefit of open access for authors is free to access for users worldwide, then authors can retain copyright on the work of the articles created. Free access can be used to increase visitability and readership. Besides, to speed up a publication without spatial constraints, published articles can be read, downloaded, and used by the public. JATI UNIK does not apply a subscription service to access articles that have been published. The provisions in JATI UNIK are copyright. There is no right for exclusive publishing and no transfer for commercial rights.


About Us

The JATI UNIK is an open access which publishes the scientific works for researchers, lectures and industrial engineer. The articles are published twice a year in April and October including of original article, literature review and editorial related to industrial and operation management.


Online Submission

Authors who want to publish articles through JATI UNIK must first create an account in the registration column until the registration flow has been carried out. The stages of the article delivery process are as follows:


Stage 1: Submission

The author checks the article's submission and agrees to the JATI UNIK copyright notice then select "Save and Continue."


Stage 2: Upload Articles

Click "Browse" in the article file to upload with the file type (.doc / .docx / RTF). Then click "Upload" wait some time for the upload process. Then select "Save and Continue." This applies if the author wants to upload additional files. If not, do "Save and Continue."


Stage 3: Input the Submission Metadata

Give a mark on the author, keywords, and copy the article text then paste it in the text box. Click "Save and Continue."


Stage 4: Confirm Submission

The author checks the documents that have been reviewed to be tidied up and resubmitted. Click "Finish Submitting" after the article is correct.


Stage 5: Confirm Delivery

After Stage 4 is carried out, the author receives a confirmation email for an article review and editorial process.

Ethics and Malpractice

JATI UNIK Publication Ethics Statement:

The review of published articles is an important part of the development of science in engineering and industrial management and a direct reflection of the quality of the work produced by the author and supported by the institution concerned. The agreement on ethical behavior standards is expected to be agreed upon by the parties involved in the publishing action, namely authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the public. JATI UNIK is a peer-reviewed journal based on the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing articles.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Kadiri University, as the JATI UNIK publisher, carries out its duties as a party that has responsibility for journal publication in JATI UNIK. Regarding the existence of advertisements, reprinting or commercial revenue will not have an impact on the decision of the Editorial. It will assist in communication with journals and other publishers that are useful and necessary.

The first stage :

The editor will check and evaluate the articles submitted by the sender. From the article, if it meets the standards in terms of content according to the focus and scope, the writing system, according to the article template, will be carried out in the next stage. The article will be subjected to a plagiarism test. If it exceeds the limit, the editing will be returned by the JATI UNIK Editorial Board before the article is published. If it meets the criteria, the next stage will be continued

Peer Review Type:

A review was carried out by the reviewer team by asking for an evaluation related to scholarship and coherence and avoiding duplication of articles published by JATI UNIK.

Reports from reviewers:

From the report requested regarding the evaluation of the article as follows:

  1. The article has a goal that follows the conclusion to the process that is being passed from the background, research methods, results, and discussion. Overall has a coherent groove. The article has references listed in the article's contents according to the bibliography using the IEEE format with the Mendeley application. Regarding the correction of the article's language, it is not part of the peer-review process.


Reviewers provide suggestions to the editor to decide whether or not to accept or reject articles from the final manuscript owner.

Suppose you are not yet a reviewer for JATI UNIK at this time but have a desire to be registered as a Reviewer. Please contact us here. The function of being a reviewer is that you will be aware of developments in the research field in industrial engineering and management, and are recognized on our list of reviewers. You can also cite the contribution of review work at JATI UNIK as part of your professional development requirements.


Article Process Charge

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Fast-Track Review: 750.000 (IDR)
With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.


Article Publication: 550.000 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.


If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.


CrossMark Policy

Crossmark is a multi-publisher initiative from Crossref to provide a standard way for readers to find the latest version of the content. The papers published in the JATI UNIK will be considered to retract in the publication if :

  1. They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g., data fabrication) or honest error (e.g., miscalculation or experimental error)
  2. the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission or justification (i.e., cases of redundant publication)
  3. it constitutes plagiarism
  4. it reports unethical research

        The mechanism of retraction follows the Retraction Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which can be accessed at https://publicationethics.org/files/retraction%20guidelines.pdf.


Plagiarism Policy

Every manuscript that is entered in the exchange has gone through the plagiarism screening process. The plagiarism detector software using i-Thenticate


Article Withdrawal

Author is not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts, because the withdrawal is waste of valuable resources that editors and referees spent a great deal of time processing submitted manuscript, money and works invested by the publisher. 
If author still requests withdrawal of his/her manuscript when the manuscript is still in the peer-reviewing process, author will be punished with paying IDR 500.000,- per manuscript, as withdrawal penalty to the publisher. However, it is unethical to withdraw a submitted manuscript from one journal if accepted by another journal. The withdrawal of manuscript after the manuscript is accepted for publication, author will be punished by paying IDR 800.000,- per manuscript. Withdrawal of manuscript is only allowed after withdrawal penalty has been fully paid to the Publisher.

If author don't agree to pay the penalty, the author and his/her affiliation will be blacklisted for publication in this journal.
