COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT THROUGH MAKING SIMPLE FINANCIAL REPORTS FOR PKK WOMEN

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to increase financial literacy and the ability of Asabri Housing PKK women to prepare simple family financial reports. The main problem faced by partners is a lack of understanding regarding cash flow recording and profit and loss reports, so that many families experience financial imbalances and the practice of "digging holes and covering holes" towards the end of the month. This activity is carried out through a participatory training method which includes interactive lectures, demonstrations, direct practice, mentoring, and evaluation of understanding through pre-test and post-test. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' ability to prepare cash flow reports and profit and loss reports, as well as increased awareness of participants in controlling household expenses. Participants also showed high enthusiasm in discussions related to financial management strategies. Thus, this training is able to have a positive impact in the form of increasing financial literacy and changing family financial management behavior to a more structured one. This activity is expected to contribute to increasing family economic resilience and become the basis for further empowerment programs within the PKK.
