Penerapan Metode DMAIC untuk Mengurangi Cacat Hasil Pengelasan Di PT.X

One of the most important components in the boiler is piping. The piping is the flow of water vapor to the area used for energy conversion. If the piping condition is not good, or in a defective condition will negatively affect the flow of water to be converted into steam. The boiler construction process, in general, can be completed within 2 years. But a common problem is the occurrence of damaged conditions in piping. This study aims to find out the improvement efforts to reduce the defects of welding results in boiler Machine piping using the DMAIC method. The method identifies problems, follows the occurrence of problems, provides analysis to be developed and Controlled. The results of this study explain the Machine aspect that is monitoring the time of use and using the rules on the welding Machine so that there is no more damage; aspects of methods, man, Measurement and management do the agenda at the end of each month and continue to improve the motivation of work; and the material aspect that the supplier sends evidence of materials that are ready to send to Improve the quality of pipes - pipes to be used.

Salah satu komponen dalam boiler paling penting adalah perpipaan. Perpipaan tersebut sebagai jalannya aliran uap air menuju area yang digunakan untuk konversi energi. Jika kondisi perpipaan tidak baik, atau dalam kondisi cacat akan memberikan pengaruh negatif pada jalannya aliran air untuk dikonversi menjadi uap. Proses pembangunan boiler secara umum dapat selesai dalam kurun waktu 2 tahun. Tetapi masalah yang sering dijumpai adalah terjadinya kondisi rusak pada perpipaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya perbaikan untuk mengurangi kecacatan hasil pengelasan pada perpipaan mesin boiler menggunakan metode DMAIC. Metode tersebut mengidentifikasi masalah, mengikut kejadian masalah, memberikan analisis untuk dikembangkan dan dikendalikan. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan aspek Machine yaitu memantau waktu penggunaan dan menggunakan secara aturan pada mesin las agar tidak terjadi kerusakan lagi; aspek method, man, Measurement dan management melakukan agenda setiap akhir bulan dan kontinu untuk meningkatkan motivasi kerja; dan aspek material yaitu pihak supplier mengirim bukti material yang siap kirim untuk meningkatkan mutu pipa – pipa yang akan digunakan.Â
