Pengaruh Ukuran Polibag Dan Jarak Antar Rak Dalam Sistem Vertikultur Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Bawang Merah

The narrowing of the agricultural area forces people to think about making maximum use of the existing land while multiplying the outputs, for example, by the verticulture system. There are several models in this system depending on the planting system to be adjusted to the size of the available land. They consist of a single pot system, hanging, horizontal, terraced or vertical. For a strictly limited yard area, it seems that a hanging or vertical single pot system is more suitable. Meanwhile, only vertical and hanging systems are suitable for flats or apartments, because the yard is relatively non-existent. This research focused on the planting of shallots by the verticulture system at various sizes of polybags and the various planting distance between the racks. This research used a factorial design based on a randomized block design consisting of two factors. The results of the study concluded that there was an interaction between the treatment of polybags size and the planting distance between the shelves in the growth parameters, namely plant height at age 21 and 28 days after planting (DAP). The number of leaves had significant interactions at the age of 28 and 35 DAP. Meanwhile, for the production parameters of wet weight and dry weight of plants, the combination of P2 R2 and P3 R3 treatments gave the highest yield on the parameters of plant height, the number of leaves, wet weight of stover and dry weight of stover. Separately, the P2 and P3 polybag size treatments gave the highest yields on the parameters of the number of tubers per plant. While the distance between treatment racks R2 and R3 gave the highest results.

Dengan semakin menyempitnya areal pertanian, maka perlu kita pikirkan bagaimana memanfaatkan lahan yang ada secara maksimal dan hasilnya berlipat ganda. Misalnya dengan sistem vertikultur. Sistem ini ada beberapa model seperti yang diungkapkan oleh (Lukman, 2011), yaitu sistem penanaman yang dipilih sebaiknya disesuaikan dengan luas tidaknya lahan yang tersedia. Apakah sistem pot tunggal, gantung, horizaontal bertingkat maupun vertikal, Tetapi untuk halaman yang sangat terbatas luasnya, agaknya sistem pot tunggal gantung atau vertikal lebih sesuai. Sementara untuk rumah susun hanya sistem vertikal dan gantung yang sesuai, karena halamannya relatif tidak ada. Bils ysng dipilih tepat, lingkungan rumah akan tampak hijau tapi tidak terkesan menyita tempat. Dari permasalahan di atas, maka dalam penelitian ini akan dicoba upaya penenaman bawang merah dalam sistem vertikultur pada berbagai ukuran polibag dan jarak antar rak. Percobaan ini menggunakan rancangan faktorial yang disusun berdasarkan rancangan acak kelompok yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut Terjadi intersaksi antara perlakuanukuran polibag dengan jarak antar rak pada parameter pertumbuhan yaitu tinggi atanaman umur 21 dan 28 HST interaksi sangat nyata dan umur 35 HST interaksi nyata. Parater jumlah daun interaksi nyata pada umur 28 dan 35 HST. Sedangkan pada parameter produksi berat basah dan berat kering tanaman. Kombinasi perlakuan P2 R2 dan P3 R3 memberikan hasil tertinggi pada parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat basah brangkasan dan berat kering brangkasan.Secara terpisah pada perlakuan ukuran polibag P2 dan P3 memberikan hasil yang tertinggi pada parameter jumlah umbi per tanaman. Sedangkan jarak antar rak perlakuan R2 dan R3 memberikan hasil yang tertinggi.
