Ethic Statement

JAFI is committed to upholding high standards of publication ethics and ensuring the integrity of the research articles it publishes. The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines set forth by recognized organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows best practices in scholarly publishing. Here is a description of the publication ethics followed by JAFI :

  1. Plagiarism:  JAFI has a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. Authors are expected to submit original work that has not been published elsewhere. The journal employs plagiarism detection software (TURNITIN/ITHENTICATE) to identify instances of plagiarism and take appropriate actions if any such cases are detected. The maximum limit of similarity percentage of the submitted manuscript to other references is 20%.
  2. Authorship and Acknowledgments: Authorship should be based on substantial research and manuscript preparation contributions. All individuals who have made significant contributions should be listed as authors, while those who have provided support or minor contributions should be acknowledged. Authors are expected to ensure the accuracy of the information provided and obtain necessary permissions for any copyrighted material used in their manuscripts.
  3. Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that may influence the interpretation of their research findings. This includes conflicts of interest with funding sources, organizations, or individuals. If any conflicts of interest exist, they should be declared in the manuscript.
  4. Research Ethics:  JAFI expects authors to comply with ethical guidelines and regulations pertaining to their research, including the use of human subjects, animals, or sensitive data. Authors should obtain necessary ethical approvals and informed consent where applicable. The journal reserves the right to request evidence of ethical compliance when necessary.
  5. Peer Review Process: The peer review process followed by JAFI is rigorous and impartial. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, and their comments and recommendations are kept confidential. Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, provide constructive feedback, and disclose any conflicts of interest that may compromise their impartiality.   6. Corrections and Retractions:  JAFI acknowledges the importance of correcting errors or addressing issues that may arise after publication. If errors are discovered, the journal will promptly investigate and publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as necessary.
  7. Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for ensuring the integrity of their research data. Data should be accurately presented, and raw data should be retained for a reasonable period of time after publication. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.
  8. Editorial Independence: The editorial decision-making process of JAFI is independent and unbiased. The journal's editors evaluate manuscripts based on their scientific merit, relevance to the journal's scope, and adherence to ethical guidelines. Editorial decisions are not influenced by any external factors or personal interests.
