Kaffir lime, Cutting, Growth Regulating SubstanceAbstract
Kaffir lime is a horticultural plant often cultivated as an ornamental plant in home gardens. Kaffir lime is commonly used for its natural flavor in various foods and beverages. Kaffir lime can be easily propagated vegetatively using stem cuttings. Natural Growth Regulating Substances (GRS) are used to support stem cuttings' success. This study employs an experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors, replicated three times. The initial factor involves the source of the stem cuttings (S), consisting of 3 levels: Apical stem cutting (S1), Middle stem cutting (S2), and Basal stem cutting (S3). The second factor is the type of natural Growth Regulating Substance (GRS) (P), consisting of 3 levels: Shallot GRS (P1), Banana GRS (P2), and Coconut Water GRS (P3). The research encompasses preparing planting media, preparing stem-cutting materials, and preparing GRS, planting, and maintenance. Observation parameters include the emergence of shoots; the parameters assessed include stem diameter, leaf count, leaf area, plant weight, and root length. Statistical analysis involves conducting an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), followed by a Tukey's Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) post-hoc test at a 5% significance level if significant differences are observed in the results. Among all treatments, the best result is obtained from the treatment with basal stem cuttings and coconut water Growth Regulating Substance (S3P3).
Parameter pengamatan meliputi: muncul mata tunas, diameter batang, jumlah daun, luas daun, berat segar tanaman, panjang akar.
