Adaptasi Gaya Kepemimpinan Birokrasi terhadap Pegawai Generasi Z di Dunia Kerja

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk adaptasi gaya kepemimpinan birokrasi dalam menghadapi karakteristik pegawai generasi Z, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya di Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Padang. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap pimpinan dan pegawai generasi Z, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber untuk menjaga keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adaptasi kepemimpinan dilakukan melalui penyesuaian pola komunikasi menjadi lebih terbuka dan intensif, pendekatan personal sesuai karakter pegawai, pembinaan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan, pemberian apresiasi atas kinerja, serta penguatan kolaborasi antargenerasi. Model kepemimpinan yang terbentuk mengarah pada perpaduan kepemimpinan transformasional dan situasional tanpa mengesampingkan aturan dan nilai birokrasi. Faktor pendukung meliputi kompetensi digital generasi Z, keterbukaan komunikasi, budaya kolaboratif, dan dukungan pelatihan; sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi kesenjangan karakter antargenerasi, hambatan komunikasi, pelanggaran disiplin kerja, serta belum meratanya penerapan gaya kepemimpinan adaptif pada setiap unit kerja. Adaptasi tersebut juga berkontribusi dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih komunikatif, fleksibel, dan mendukung pengembangan potensi pegawai. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan adaptasi kepemimpinan birokrasi terhadap generasi Z ditentukan oleh kemampuan pemimpin menyesuaikan cara berkomunikasi, membimbing, dan memotivasi tanpa mengurangi profesionalisme, disiplin, dan efektivitas birokrasi.
