MATA TUNAS, KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM PERTUMBUHAN AWAL TANAMAN TEBU (Saccharum officinarum L.)

RINGKASAN
Percobaan ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui asal mata tunas pada komposisi media tanam yang berbeda terhadap ‘pertumbuhan awal tanaman tebu (Saccharum officinarum L) varietas BZ 148’. penelitian di pekarangan Desa Bandar Lor Kecamatan Mojoroto Kotamadya Kediri, mulai tanggal 17  Mei 2018 sampai dengan tanggal 05 Agustus 2018. Menggunakan rancangan perlakuan faktorial dan rancangan lingkungan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor Pertama Asal mata tunas, ada 3 level, yaitu: T1 : Mata tunas pucuk (bibit bagal); T2 : Mata tunas tengah; TÂÂ3 : ‘Mata tunas pangkal. Faktor kedua: komposisi media tanam, terdiri dari:P1: Tanah (1) : Pupuk kandang (1); P2: Tanah (1) : Pupuk kandang’ (2); P3 : Tanah (2) : Pupuk kandang (2)’. Dilakukan pengamatan mulai tanaman ‘umur 39 hari setelah tanam sampai umur 81 hari setelah tanam’ untuk parameter pertumbuhan vegetatif, dengan interval pengamatan 7 hari sekali.
Untuk pertumbuhan Parameter yang diamati meliputi: a. Kecepatan tumbuh tunas; b.Tinggi Tanaman; c. Jumlah Daun; d. Diameter batang; e. Jumlah Anakan; f. ‘Berat Basah Tanaman; g. Berat Kering Tanaman’. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan:Terjadi interaksi perlakuan ‘asal mata tunas dan komposisi media tanam’ terhadap diameter batang umur 39, 53, 60, 67, 74 dan 81 hari setelah tanam serta tinggi tanaman umur 39, 46, 53 dan 60 hari setelah tanam.
