Efektivitas Pupuk Kandang dan Giberelin Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor L)

Red spinach (Amaranthus tricolor) is a type of C4 plant that can efficiently bind Carbon dioxide gas to adapt to various ecosystems. This plant, which comes from the Amarataceace family, is classified as an annual plant that is relatively easy to cultivate. The tendency of farmers to increase cultivation yields is conducted by applying fertilizers and growth hormones. This study aimed to determine the optimum levels of manure and gibberellin on the growth and yield of red spinach. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) using a two-factor pattern. The first factor was goat manure 300 grams/polybags (K 1), 600 grams/polybags (K2), and 1000 grams/polybags (K3). The second factor was the concentration of gibberellin consisting of 3 levels: 150 ppm (G 1), 200 ppm (G2, and 250 ppm (G3) with the three times repeated method. The results showed that there was a positive interaction between manure and gibberellin on parameters observed. The plant height in three days after planting of K3G3 treatment resulted in an optimum height of 5.30 cm, while for the number of leaves and leaf area there was no interaction between treatments, but the optimum results were shown in the K3 and G3 treatments, namely 10.33 fruit; 9.88 pieces; 9.90 cm and 9.34 cm2. In the wet weight parameters of the K2 and G2 treatments, the optimum wet weight was 56.20 grams and 53.27 grams, while the dry weight with the largest average was in the K2G2 combination of 14.37 grams.

Bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor) termasuk kedaIam jenis tanaman C4 yang memiliki kemampuan mengikat CO2 secara efesien, sehingga mampu beradaptasi pada beragam ekosistem. Tanaman yang berasaI dari famili Amarataceace ini tergolong tanaman semusim yang sangat mudah dibudidayakan. Kecendrungan petani untuk dapat meningkat hasil budidaya dilakukan dengan aplikasi pupuk maupun hormon atau zat pengatur tumbuh. Tujuan dilakuakan penelitian yaitu mengetahui kadar optimum pemberian berbagai dosis pupuk kandang dan ZPT giberelin terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bayam merah. Penelitian ini memakai Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan memakai pola dua faktor, faktor pertama yaitu pupuk kandang kambing 300 gram/polibag (K1), 600 gram/polibag (K2), dan 1000 gram/polibag (K3). Faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi giberalin terdiri dari 3 taraf: 150 ppm (G1), 200 ppm (G2), dan 250 ppm (G3) dengan metoda ulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya interaksi pupuk kandang dengan giberelin pada parameter pengamatan tinggi tanaman, pengamatan 3 HST perlakuan K3G3 menghasilkan tinggi optimum 5,30 cm sedangkan pada parameter jumlah daun dan luas daun tidak terjadi interaksi antar perlakuan namun hasil optimum ditunjukkan pada perlakuan K3 dan G3 secara berturut yaitu sebanyak 10,33 buah; 9,88 buah; 9,90 cm dan 9,34 cm2. Pada parameter berat basah perlakuan K2 dan G2 menghasilkan berat basah optimum yaitu sebesar 56,20 gram dan 53,27 gram sedangkan, berat kering dengan rata-rata terbesar untuk kombinasi K2G2 sebesar 14,37 gram.
